Hate Crimes

Hate incidents and hate crime are acts of hostiity or violence against a person because of who they are or are thought to be. Abuse directed at someone because of disability, race, religion, gender identity or sexual orientation; is against the law.

We are a third-party Hate Crime Reporting Centre, with connections to the Police. We provide comfortable and confidential support, to those who may have been a victim.

LGBT+ Health & Safer Sex

You can have fun, while caring for yourself and who you're with, by knowing the facts.

Free condoms and lubricant are available at Sticky Bits Cafe, along with health education resources and access to our free advice services.

Bullying

Bullying is the use of strength or influence, to intimidate someone.

We offer a free service to schools, helping to protect vulnerable children in Cumbria.

24 Hour Services

If you are in immediate danger call 999 now

  • If you are at risk of becoming the victim of a crime, dial 101 for the police free non-emergency line.
  • If you need medical help, but you don't think it's serious enough for A&E, call the NHS 111 free advice service.
  • If you just need to speak to someone, you can call the Samaritans on 116 123 for free.

LGBThq Advice Service

While we're not yet available 24 hours a day, we do have specialist advisors, who you can speak to in confidence and in a way YOU are most confortable with.
